Danielle Lombardi is an American mezzo-soprano who sings a wide variety of repertoire and has been praised for her characterizations. Most recently, she has placed first in the Tiziano Rossetti International Music Competition, fifth place at the Denver Lyric Opera Guild Competition, was named a finalist in the Medici International Music Competition and was a district finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. On the operatic stage, she has sung with many prestigious companies including Opera Colorado, Opera Theater of St. Louis and Opera Steamboat.
As a Young Artist at Opera Colorado, Ms. Lombardi sang Wowkle in La Fanciulla del West, covered the roles of Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor, Hannah After in As One, and Mistress Hibbons in the world premiere of Lori Laitman’s The Scarlet Letter. As a Young Artist with Opera Steamboat, she sang Mamma Lucia and covered the role of Santuzza in Cavalleria Rusticana. While with Opera Theater of St. Louis, she sang the role of the Lizard in the United States premiere of Unsuk Chin’s Alice in Wonderland.
Ms. Lombardi holds a B. M. in Voice from Oberlin Conservatory and her M.M. in Voice from Rice University.
